Jh’enna is a half-drow refugee from the Darklands. As a member of the Cult of the Dawnflower she was sent above to rescue an unborn child from her own mother’s slave pens. Once on the surface she found her way to Castle Urion where she ended up under the tutelage of the Half-Orc Oracle Strego who understood her need to do good despite her heritage.

“Are you really my father?” Jh’enna demanded as she swung the adamantine mace down hard over her head towards the human in front of her.
The skilled human swordsman easily deflected her clumsy attack with his sword and smirked at her. “Who told you that?”
“Oh you know, talk around the compound.” The girl clearly didn’t want to give up her sources. “But you don’t seem like the other humans I’ve met. They’re so broken.”
The man laughed as he spun through a series of sword slashes. “The shiny happy people don’t deal well when they can’t see the sun.”
“The sun?”

“The blessings of the sun be upon you.”
“What?” Jh’enna lowered her weapon, looking down on the rebel drow who’s skull she had been about to crush. The man was small, weak… not a warrior at all and yet two small goblins cowered behind him with their stolen wares.
“The blessings of…”
“Get out of here!” She hissed. “Before I change my mind.”

“And thus did Asmodeus retreat back to Hell.” The priest closed the book, ending the ritual.
“She is the light and the truth.” Jh’enna responded dutifully.
“I am glad you came. I have been given a vision.”
“What is it Father?”
The elderly drow paused in thought. “The Lady has a mission for you. Among your mother’s slaves is a human woman who is with child. That child is destined to do a great good, but on the surface. Can you do this?”

“How dare you betray me like this child?!”
“I, I…” Jh’enna was at a loss for words until the woman raised a finger, spell forming on her lips.

“Come on. We’ve got to keep moving!” Jh’enna could feel the poison in her system even as she snapped the arrow off.
“Ugn!” The human woman practically collapsed in her arms, blood staining the half-drow’s armor.
“No no.. just hold on a little longer.” Jh’enna scooped her up in powerful arms, hoping to find shelter.

“What’s this?” A tan skinned elf asked, pulling back the ornate wood door.
“What’s what, Sister Aethirel?” The second priestess came to stand at the front door of the temple. There at the door step lay an unconscious black skinned half-elf, a human baby sobbing in her arms.

“Thank you for all that you have done Lady Jh’enna. The boy is safe and we’ll be moving him to foster care soon.”
“It is an honor to serve the Lady of Light.”
“With that in mind, I have another mission for you. The forces of hell are gathering to the north. We are sending a delegation of priests to Castle Urion to tend to the wounded. I must ask you to go with them. Please make sure they arrive safely.”
“Of course. When do we leave? I would like to see the boy one last time before I go.”
